Two Thieves Podcast

The Two Thieves Podcast will focus on extolling God's mercies, examining scripture, and looking through the lens of a Christian Worldview. We will dialogue on current events, both inside and outside the Church, as well as reviewing other articles, videos, and publications. Like the whole of scripture, this podcast is first and foremost about God, not about man.

As we look to wrap up the TULIP series this week, our brothers Matt and Wes at the Reformed Outlook join us to talk how Calvinism applies to day to day life.  We discuss what doctrines caused us to examine Reformed soteriology, how Calvinism differs from Reformed theology, and why the sudden resurgence of Reformed doctrine amongst young Christians.  Thanks to all who have listened to the series!

Doing our part this week to knock out the "L" in TULIP.  We're diving in to the scope and purpose of the atonement of Jesus and answering questions such as:  Who did Christ die for?  What scriptures do we use to justify our understanding?  What scriptures seemingly rebut limited atonement?  Thanks for listening!

If you haven't already, check out the first 2 episodes of the series from our friends at the Laymen's Cup and Reformed Outlook.

Justin Peters of Justin Peters Ministries joins us this week as we discuss the hyper-charismatic and word of faith movements.  You may know Justin from the Strange Fire conference or from his Clouds Without Water conferences.  In this episode, we listen to clips from prominent false teachers such as Bill Johnson, Sid Roth, Rodney Howard-Browne, and Todd Bentley as brother Peters exegetically breaks down what goes on in these movements. We hope this interview is as eye opening and encouraging for you as it was for us.  Soli Deo Gloria!

As the culture becomes more secular and the state its God, homeschooling is becoming the education of choice for more and more Christian parents.  So how should Christians feel about the homeschool vs. public/private school debate?  Of course we can't answer the question for all parents, but in this episode we outline why we've chosen homeschool and why we believe it's supported by scripture.

A follow up to last week’s episode, we continue to tackle gender.  This week WNBA star Candice Wiggins opened up about discrimination she faced in the league for being straight.  We talk about her story and use it as a springboard to discuss gender roles in culture.  We also take a look at what scripture has to say about gender and how we should interpret cultural context of verses.
